Victor is known for his work in condensed matter physics and quantum many-body systems, with contributions spanning fundamental theory and emergent quantum phenomena. He brings deep experience navigating both the conceptual challenges of modern physics and the broader international research landscape.

The Scientific Advisory Board is being established to provide external scientific guidance as FirstPrinciples develops the AI Physicist, an autonomous system designed to reason about fundamental physics. Scientific Advisors will serve as close collaborators, helping to evaluate scientific direction while shaping how the system’s reasoning is judged against the standards of modern science.

“As AI systems begin to engage more deeply with theoretical science, careful judgment becomes essential,” said Victor Galitski. “I’m excited to work with FirstPrinciples to help think through how such systems can contribute meaningfully to ongoing work in physics.”

In addition to advising on technical direction, the SAB will play a critical role in helping FirstPrinciples navigate the complexities of modern physics research, from evolving theoretical frameworks to questions of alignment with current (and future) scientific practice. The goal is to ensure that the AI Physicist meets established standards while opening new avenues of inquiry that others can reliably extend and build upon.

Victor’s appointment marks the first step in assembling the Scientific Advisory Board. FirstPrinciples plans to appoint additional members throughout 2026.
